Emin Leydier paper mills are equipped with state-of-the-art effluent treatment facilities at the forefront of current biological effluent treatment technology. 

Effluent treatment is carried out by anaerobic means (producing methane) and by aerobic means (water oxygenation) resulting in clean water with rejection levels much lower than those imposed by legislation.

The design of these systems far exceeds the statutory requirements and guarantees the neutrality of our activity on the aquatic environment.

The effluent treatment stations at both St. Vallier and Nogent sur Seine each have a treatment capacity equivalent to a town of 400,000 people.
